Malawi faces a heartbreaking crisis. The HIV pandemic and other challenges have left countless children orphaned, with no safety net to protect them. Many young boys drop out of school, taking on manual labor to survive. Tragically, some turn to street life, where they face dangerous activities and substance abuse.
For girls, the situation is equally dire. Dropping out of school often leads to early marriages or even exploitation. These vulnerable children, left without a voice or advocate, are trapped in cycles of abuse and poverty.
Widows, too, face immense challenges, struggling to provide for their families after the loss of their partners.
